Ingredients

  • 12 slices toast
  • 6 slices ham, cooked
  • 1 small Glass artichoke hearts, pickled
  • 6 anchovy fillet (s)
  • 1 mozzarella
  • 125 ml milk
  • 3 egg (s)
  • some flour
  • pepper
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Debark the bread. Rinse the anchovies with clean water and pat dry. Chop the artichokes and anchovies very finely. Cut the mozzarella into 6 slices.
  2. Top 6 slices of bread each with 1 slice of ham, proportionately with an artichoke / anchovy mixture and a slice of mozzarella. Place the other slices of bread on top and press very firmly.
  3. Place the sandwiches in the milk first from one side, then from the other. Dust with a little flour. Whisk the eggs well, season with pepper and pour onto the bread. Turn the bread over several times and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Fry the bread in hot fat until dark brown on both sides, season if necessary.
  5. If you like that, you can add a little basil or sage to the filling.
