Ingredients

  • 600 g potato (s), peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 400 g macaroons (pasta)
  • Water, salted with a dash oil
  • 60 g butter
  • 250 g bacon, cut into cubes
  • 200 g onion (s), diced
  • 80 g cheese (Sbrinz), rated
  • 80 g cheese (Gruyère), rated
  • 200 ml cream (single cream)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potato pieces in salted water, after 5 minutes add the macaroons and cook for another 10 minutes, drain.
  2. In the meantime, sauté the bacon cubes in the butter in a frying pan, add the onions, fry until soft.
  3. Mix the two cheeses. Bring the cream to the boil.
  4. Pour half of the potatoes / pasta, then half of the bacon / onion mixture and half of the grated cheese into a gratin dish. Do the same with the 2nd half. Finally pour the hot cream over it and bake briefly in the oven until the cheese has melted.
  5. With boiled apple wedges.
