Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon herbs, various (e.g. herbs from Provence)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons curry
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 0.5 ½ bottle beer, dark
  • 5 tablespoon honey
  • 1 turkey, nice and big! (also works with chicken or goose)
  • Chicken broth or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Take the salt and put it in a bowl. Add various herbs, pepper, paprika and curry and stir it well.
  2. When the turkey is washed off, the salt mixture is rubbed thickly, inside and out!
  3. Then the turkey comes into a corresponding mold, in which you pour some poultry broth or vegetable broth beforehand (this way the turkey does not get dry) and then in the oven at 200 degrees!
  4. In the meantime, put the dark beer in a vessel and add the honey. Mix well.
  5. The turkey is then brushed well with this mixture every 20 minutes. Depending on the size of the turkey, it takes about 2 - 4 hours (roast thermo!).
  6. Then the turkey is through and above all not dry.
  7. Apple-onion-red cabbage and dumplings go well as a side dish.
