Ingredients
- 600 g apples
- 125 ml apple juice
- 70 g suar
- 2 sachets flavor, (lemon flavor)
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- 3 egg (s)
- 175 ml milk
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 40 grams sugar
- 6 slices white bread, thin
- 50 g almond (s), sliced
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

- Quarter and dice the apples. Stew with apple juice, 30g sugar, 1 sachet lemon flavor and raisins for 10 minutes, leave to cool.
- Mix together eggs, milk, starch, remaining flavor, cinnamon and sugar. Cut the bread diagonally, soak in the egg milk, layer with 1 heaped tablespoon of apple compote in a flat, greased casserole dish (diameter 26 cm). Pour the rest of the egg milk over and sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 200 ° C for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
