Ingredients

  • 4 pork chop (s)
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 apples
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon powder
  • 2 pinch (s) cayenne pepper
  • 150 ml apple cider
  • 80 ml cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the chops generously. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan over medium heat, put in the chops and fry for 3 minutes on each side. Remove the chops and set aside on a plate.
  2. Peel, core and slice the apples, also cut the onion into large slices. Melt the last tablespoon of butter in the pan and add the apple slices and the onion. Steam for about 4 minutes, stirring again and again. Then add the brown sugar, cayenne pepper and the cinnamon powder.
  3. Stir in the cider and cream and put the fried chops back in the pan. Let simmer on a low flame until the core temperature of the meat is 80 ° C, approx. 8 - 10 minutes.
  4. The chops are served with the apple and onion slices on top.
  5. Serve with baguette or spaetzle.
