Apple – Raisin Risotto

Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 1 small onion (s), diced
- 200 g basmati
- 2 ½ g salt
- 2 ½ g turmeric (turmeric)
- Spice mix (garlic and herb)
- 100 g raisins
- 25 g suar, brown
- 7 ½ g cinnamon
- 625 ml water, apple juice, white wine or cider)
- 6 apples (Granny-Smith), peeled, pitted and cut into eighths

- Steam the onion in the butter until translucent.
- Add the rice, the liquid and the spices and simmer over a low heat, stirring frequently. If necessary, add a little more liquid.
- After about 20 minutes add the apples and let simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
- Now taste again.
- In Namibia, the dish is often served with briefly fried meat or grilled meat.
