Azu in Tatar (in a Slow Cooker)

A very satisfying meat dish that requires a minimum of costs.

Ingredients

  • Beef – 400 g
  • Potatoes – 2-3 pcs.
  • Pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Tomato paste – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices to taste
  • Red pepper – to taste
  • Water – 1.5 cups

Directions

  1. Cut the meat into longitudinal slices.
  2. Chop the onion, cut the carrots into strips, chop the garlic into slices, the cucumbers into strips.
  3. Set the “frying” mode on the multicooker for 20 minutes. Turn on, warm up for a couple of minutes. Pour meat into a heated and oiled multicooker bowl, leave the lid open. Fry the meat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Then add chopped carrots, onions and garlic, fry the remaining time, stirring also.
  5. Then set the “stew / stew” mode for 1 hour 10 minutes. Add cucumbers, tomato paste, salt, pepper, spices, 1 glass of water to the bowl. Close the lid and simmer for 40 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, chop the potatoes.
  7. When 40 minutes have passed, add potatoes and another half glass of water to the bowl. Simmer for the remaining 30 minutes.
