Bacon in Red Wine with Asparagus

Recipe for making bacon in wine sauce with asparagus.

Ingredients

  • Bacon Strips – 4 Pieces
  • Oil – 1 Art. the spoon
  • Shallots – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Flour – 1 1/2 Art. spoons
  • Red Wine – 3/4 Glass
  • Seasonings for meat – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 Pinch (to taste)
  • Ground pepper – 1 pinch (to taste)

Directions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add oil. Cut bacon into medium slices and place in skillet. Add onion, cook for a couple of minutes.
  2. Add flour. Continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in red wine. Bring to a boil, cook for 5 minutes, the liquid should evaporate by half. Add seasoning. Cook for another 10 minutes. Meanwhile, boil the asparagus in salted water. Serve as a side dish with bacon.
