Ingredients

  • 1 baguette (s) or ciabatta to bake
  • 0.5 ½ glass pesto, red
  • in Cheese slices, e.g., Gouda, Emmentaler, etc.

Instructions

  1. Cut the baguette or ciabatta completely diagonally, being careful not to get too deep, otherwise it will break apart and you will not be able to fill it so well.
  2. Use the knife to spread plenty of pesto into the interfaces, then fold the cheese slices together and insert them into the interfaces as well.
  3. Place the baguette on a baking sheet and bake at approx. 180 - 200 degrees top / bottom heat until the desired degree of browning is achieved and the cheese has flowed nicely.
  4. Tip: You can vary the recipe as you like and also use green pesto, fill it with boiled ham, salami or pickled tomatoes, etc. There are no limits to your imagination.
