Baked Carrots with Caraway Seeds and Paprika

Carrots seasoned with spices and oven-baked to a delicious crust are a healthy and tasty alternative to everyone’s favorite French fries. An excellent option for a vegetable snack that can be prepared from available products in just half an hour. Try it!

Ingredients

  • Carrots (peeled) – 450 g (3 pcs.)
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Caraway seeds (seeds) – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground paprika – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley – 1 sprig
  • Ketchup (or other sauce) – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare ingredients according to the list. Peel the carrots. Turn on the oven, let it heat up to 220 degrees.
  2. Cut the carrots into cubes – first in half, and then another 6-8 pieces.
  3. Place the carrot sticks in a bowl. Add olive oil, salt, cumin, paprika and ground black pepper.
  4. Mix everything thoroughly so that the oil evenly covers each piece of carrot and the spices are evenly distributed.
  5. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and line the prepared carrots in an even layer.
  6. Place the carrots in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes until the carrot slices are tender and crispy.
  7. The fried carrots are ready in the oven. Put it on a plate, garnish with chopped herbs if desired.
    You can serve baked carrots as a side dish or as an independent dish for a light dinner, with ketchup or other sauce to taste.
