Ingredients

  • g 1,000 minced meat (cevapcici)
  • 1 glass bell pepper (s), roasted
  • 400 g sheep cheese
  • 600 g cream
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 450 g cheese (Edam or Emmentaler), rated
  • 150 ml red wine
  • salt and pepper
  • Sauce thickener, light
  • margarine

Instructions

  1. Fry the cevapcici in a pan with a little olive oil. Peel the onion and chop it as small as possible. Then sauté in a large saucepan with margarine.
  2. In the meantime, puree the peppers and add to the steamed onions. Crumble the sheep`s cheese and add it to the saucepan as well. Keep stirring until the cheese is completely melted. Now add the red wine, let it boil briefly and add the cream. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes and season with salt and pepper. Create a creamy consistency with a sauce thickener.
  3. Put the cevapcici in a baking dish, pour the sauce over them and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven over medium heat (180 ° C) until the cheese is golden brown.
  4. Serve traditionally with rice and white bread.
  5. Tip: You can also replace the cevapcici with gyros or use both at the same time.
