Baked Potatoes with Ham and Cheese

A simple option for a family dinner of products that are almost always in the refrigerator. Boil the potatoes, cut them, insert pieces of ham and cheese into the cuts and send them to the oven. The result is excellent: golden baked potatoes, melted cheese and aromatic ham inside.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 700 g (8-9 pcs.)
  • Ham – 100 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Ground pepper (pepper mix) – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for lubricating the mold) – 1 tbsp

For filing:

  • Green onion – 1 pc.
  • Fresh dill – 1-2 branches
  • Rucola – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Instead of ham, you can use smoked sausage, sausages or boiled meat.
  2. Peel and wash the potatoes. Send the potatoes to a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  3. Put a pot of potatoes on the fire, bring the water to a boil and add salt. Reduce heat and simmer potatoes for 15 minutes, slightly less cooked.
  4. While the potatoes are cooking, cut the cheese and ham into small potato-sized pieces. I cut the cheese into rectangles, and cut the slices of ham in half, then folded them in half. Turn on the oven, let it heat up to 180 degrees. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil.
  5. Remove the potatoes from the water and cool. Then cut the potatoes lengthwise, but not completely, so that the halves do not separate from each other. Gently insert the slices of cheese and ham into the cuts.
  6. Place the potatoes in a mold. Sprinkle with the pepper mixture.
  7. Bake potatoes with cheese and ham in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes – the cheese will melt and the potatoes will turn golden.
  8. Transfer the cooked hot potatoes with ham and cheese to a plate on a salad or herb pillow.
  9. Sprinkle the dish with finely chopped fresh dill and green onions on top.
  10. Serve hot baked potatoes with ham and cheese.
