Ingredients

  • 1 kg ribs (peeled ribs, spare ribs)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 6 clove (s) garlic
  • 50 ml honey, more liquid
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 dash vinegar
  • rosemary
  • some ketchup
  • some butter

Instructions

  1. Portion the ribs, wash and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Then salt and pepper on both sides and sprinkle with rosemary. Set aside and preheat the oven to 200 ° (top and bottom heat).
  2. For the glaze, chop the onion into fine cubes and fry in the butter in a saucepan. Add a dash of vinegar, which is allowed to evaporate in the open. Salt the onions and mash the garlic cloves and add. Now add the honey and a little ketchup, let everything get hot and stir well together. Take the pot off the hob.
  3. Place the ribs in a roaster and cover the bottom of the roaster with water. Brush the ribs with about half of the glaze and cover in the oven for 30 minutes. Then turn the ribs over and spread the rest of the glaze on them. After another 25 minutes of cooking, remove the lid from the roasting pan, set the oven to 250 ° and fry the ribs open for another 5 minutes.
  4. Serve and enjoy! Simple triplets go well with this.
