Banana Mousse Chocolate Cake (No Bake)

Banana Mousse Chocolate Cake is a great option when you need to create a dessert without an oven. A biscuit and butter base and a banana-filled sour cream chocolate mousse – this cake with the perfect combination of flavors will appeal to many sweet tooths!

Ingredients

  • Bananas – 2 pcs. (400 g)
  • Shortbread cookies – 200 g
  • Butter – 90 g
  • Sour cream – 400 g
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Gelatin – 1 tablespoon.  (10 g)
  • Sugar – 60 g
  • Cocoa powder – 3 tablespoon.
  • Chocolate for decoration – 10 g

Directions

  1. Pour 100 ml of water into a glass, add gelatin and leave to swell.
  2. Prepare the base. To do this, grind the cookies into crumbs.
  3. You can use a blender or a rolling pin to grind the cookies.
    If you decide to use the second option, place the cookies in a bag, place them on a hard, flat surface and roll them out with a rolling pin.
  4. Melt the butter and add the cookie crumbs. Stir.
  5. In a split form (I have a diameter of 19 cm), put the sand-oil crumb and tamp it with a spoon. Place the mold and base in the freezer for 10 minutes while the mousse prepares.
  6. Now make your chocolate mousse.
    Pour milk into a small saucepan, add sugar, and put it on fire. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  7. Add cocoa powder and swollen gelatin to a saucepan, whisk until smooth. The mass should warm up, but should not boil, otherwise, the gelatin will lose its gelling properties!
  8. Turn off the heat, add sour cream. Whisk in sour cream to create a smooth chocolate cream.
  9. Peel the bananas. Cut each banana into 4 pieces – in half lengthways and then across.
  10. Remove the sand base from the refrigerator. Spread the banana slices over the base.
  11. Pour the chocolate mousse over the bananas.
  12. Put a split cake pan in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, or better overnight, so that the gelatin hardens well and the cake keeps its shape.
  13. Remove the mold from the refrigerator and free the cake from the sides.
    If desired, grate the chocolate with a grater and sprinkle it on the cake for decoration.
  14. Transfer the chocolate cake to a plate and serve.
  15. Delicate chocolate mousse, sweet bananas, and a crumbly sand base – well, delicious!
