Beef Ribs Stewed with Sour Cream and Mushrooms

You don’t need to use pulp to make a delicious beef stew. Beef ribs are perfect. Stewed with onions, garlic and sour cream, they are delicious. And if you add mushrooms to them, and without preliminary frying, the dish will be even tastier and more aromatic. Such meat with mushrooms is good both as an independent dish and with your favorite side dish.

Ingredients

  • Beef ribs – 800 g
  • Champignons – 160 g
  • Sour cream – 100 ml
  • Onions – 60 g
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Sunflower oil – 50 ml
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (to taste)

Directions

  1. Let’s prepare the ingredients. Canned mushrooms can be used instead of fresh mushrooms.
  2. Wash the beef ribs, dry with a paper towel and cut into portions.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Peel the garlic, crush the cloves with the flat part of the knife.
  4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil, put the ribs there, salt and pepper. Fry on both sides and remove from the pan
  5. Put the onion and garlic in a frying pan in which the ribs were fried.
  6. Fry the onion and garlic in the same oil for 10 minutes
  7. Put the onion with garlic and beef ribs in a cauldron or saucepan with thick walls. Heat 500 ml of water and add to the cauldron.
  8. Add sour cream and salt. Put on fire, bring to a boil and cover the cauldron with a lid. We will simmer beef ribs with onions, garlic and sour cream for 1-1.5 hours, until soft.
  9. Wash the mushrooms, dry and cut into slices.
  10. When the meat is already tender, add the mushrooms to it. Let’s put it out together for another half hour.
  11. At the end we will taste the dish with salt And 5 minutes before cooking add pepper and bay leaf.
  12. Beef ribs, stewed with sour cream and mushrooms, can be served either alone or with a side dish.
