Ingredients

  • 4 steak (s), e.g. neck / comb steaks from pork)
  • 0.5 liter ½ beer, pilsner or dark
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Mustard medium hot
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut into large rings. Roughly chop the garlic cloves. Wash the steaks, pat dry, season with salt, pepper and brush with mustard on both sides. Then layer the meat, the onion rings and the garlic in a Tupperware tin, casserole dish or something similar. Pour beer over it so that everything floats in it. Cover and leave to stand for approx. 6 hours.
  2. Remove the steaks from the marinade for grilling. The onion rings can be grilled in a piece of aluminum foil.
  3. This marinade reminds me of my childhood. My parents always put the grilled meat in this way. The great thing about it is that you always have the ingredients in the house and anyway before a barbecue evening.
