Body from Fish

Body – the name is a little strange and unusual. Meanwhile, this dish of old Russian cuisine is quite familiar to us. Veal from fish is nothing more than ordinary fish cutlets, fish crazy. In this recipe – hake cutlets with mushroom filling.

Ingredients

  • Hake – 300 g
  • Dried mushrooms – 60 g
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Sunflower oil – 100 ml
  • Wheat flour – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Soak dry mushrooms in cold water for at least an hour. Then rinse them well and set to cook. Salt the water a little. The cooking time is about an hour.
  2. This time is just enough for us to deal with other ingredients. We clean the fish from above and inside, remove the films and entrails, cut off the fins and tail. Let’s wash it out.
  3. Let’s extract the ridge and try to remove all the bones.
  4. Let’s pass the fish fillet through a meat grinder.
  5. Add the egg and flour (1 tablespoon) to the groundfish.
  6. Let’s mix. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Finely chop the peeled onion.
  8. During this time, our mushrooms can already be cooked. Wash them again.
  9. Chop finely.
  10. Fry the mushrooms in sunflower oil with the onions until the onions are browned.
  11. We start forming fish cakes from minced meat. Put the mushroom filling on the minced meat cake. Place the cake on the floor.
  12. We close the filling and roll the fish crazy with mushrooms in flour.
  13. Fry fish cutlets in sunflower oil over medium heat until cooked.
  14. Serve ready-made meat on your own or with a side dish.
