Bread with Corn Flour

Homemade bread is much better than store-bought bread and is very easy to make at home. The bread with cornflour is beautiful, delicious. We will bake it in a slow cooker, but you can also cook it in the oven.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 550 g
  • Corn flour – 220 g
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Vegetable oil – 50 g
  • Dry yeast – 20 g
  • Sugar – 20 g
  • Salt – 10 g
  • Warm water – 320 ml

Directions

  1. Pour warm (warmer than a room) water into a bowl, but not hot water. Dissolve sugar and salt in water. Add dry yeast. Sift a few tablespoons of flour into a bowl and stir so that there are no lumps.
  2. Then we add almost all the remaining wheat flour, leaving a few spoons. We knead the dough with our hands. It will begin to stick to your hands – it should be so. Cover with a lid and leave on the table for 15 minutes.
  3. Sift wheat and cornflour into the mixer bowl, pour in butter and milk. Add the dough that we have prepared. We mix everything with our hands or with a mixer with a special dough attachment.
  4. Lubricate your hands with butter and knead the dough with your hands on the table. We form a ball from the dough. Grease the bottom and sides of the form in which we will bake bread. We put the dough there and leave it for proofing. If we put it at room temperature, it will take 40-60 minutes, and in a slow cooker – 30-50 minutes. We bake bread in the oven at a temperature of 160 degrees for 1 hour, and in a multicooker, proofing and baking takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  5. If you bake in a slow cooker, then 30 minutes before the end of the program, turn the bread over so that it browns on the other side. After the signal, we leave the bread in the multicooker with the lid closed for another 15 minutes.
  6. The cornmeal bread is ready. When the bread has cooled completely, you can cut it.
