  • 250 g red cabbae
  • 2 tablespoon pistachio nuts, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the red cabbage into fine strips, it is best to put on gloves. If the fingers are red because there are no gloves, the hands can be cleaned with lemon juice.
  2. Heat the oil in the pan. Put the red cabbage and pistachio nuts in the pan and dust with the sugar. Braise the cabbage for about 15 minutes over medium heat, then deglaze with the balsamic vinegar and continue to braise until the balsamic vinegar has boiled down. Salt and pepper the red cabbage as desired.
  3. We ate the salad either lukewarm or cold, but it certainly tastes warm too.
