Buckwheat Smoothie with Jam and Banana

An unusual thick buckwheat smoothie is a simple and tasty breakfast that will cook itself (of course, with the exception of a couple of gestures on your part). Such an original lazy buckwheat porridge with the addition of your favorite jam and banana is a great start to the day!

Cook: 15 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Buckwheat groats – 80 g
  • Strawberry jam – 200 g
  • Milk – 80 ml
  • Banana – 1 pc.
  • Lemon (juice) – 1 circle

To serve (if desired):

  • Fresh mint – 2-3 leaves

Directions

  1. Rinse buckwheat, put in a cup or bowl, and pour boiling water over it. Squeeze 1 teaspoon of juice from the lemon and add to buckwheat. Stir and cover with a lid or plate. Leave at room temperature for 8-10 hours (or overnight).
  2. Then drain the water, add 150 grams of jam to the buckwheat, and pour in the milk. Peel the banana, cut into slices, and add to the bowl of buckwheat.
  3. Whisk everything with a blender until smooth. Arrange the finished smoothie in portioned containers and add the remaining jam. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
  4. Buckwheat smoothie with banana and jam is ready to serve.
