Bulgur with Lemon, Garlic and Dill (in the Microwave)

A simple recipe for an original side dish – loose bulgur porridge in the microwave! Thanks to additives such as lemon zest, garlic, and fresh dill, bulgur porridge turns out to be very tasty and aromatic!

Ingredients

  • Bulgur – 200 g
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Dill greens – 5 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – 400 ml

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients and bring the water to a boil.
  2. Rinse the bulgur, drain the water. Transfer the cereal to a microwave-safe dish (always with a lid).
  3. Salt bulgur, stir.
  4. Add pieces of butter to the bulgur.
  5. Pour boiling water over bulgur.
  6. Place a lid on the dishes and microwave. Cook bulgur in the microwave at 800W for exactly 15 minutes.
  7. While the bulgur is cooking, prepare the additives. Peel and chop the garlic. Rinse, dry, and chop the dill.
    Wash the lemon, remove the zest using a fine grater.
  8. Add garlic, zest, and dill to the cooked bulgur porridge.
  9. Toss bulgur with lemon, garlic, and dill.
  10. Serve bulgur porridge as a side dish with meat, fish, or egg dishes.
