Burgers with a Juicy Cutlet

The cutlets for these burgers are grilled, which makes the meat juicy and gives the burgers a special flavor.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

For the sauce:

  • Ketchup – 1 glass
  • Brown sugar – 1/2 cup
  • White sugar – 1/3 cup
  • Honey – 1/4 cup
  • Molasses (molasses) – 1/4 cup
  • Mustard – 2 teaspoon
  • Worcestershire Sauce – 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Liquid smoke (optional) – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Ground black pepper – 1/8 teaspoon.

For burgers:

  • Egg (slightly beaten) – 1 pc.
  • Instant oatmeal – 1/3 cup
  • Onion salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garlic salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Fine sea salt – 1/8 teaspoon.
  • Minced beef – 700 g
  • Sandwich buns – 6 pcs.
  • Garnish with vegetables (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine ground black pepper, liquid smoke (if using), salt, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, molasses, honey, both sugar, and ketchup. Place a saucepan over medium-low heat and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the stove and take out 1 glass of sauce, which you will then need for serving
  2. Turn on the grill to preheat to medium heat. In a large bowl, combine egg, oatmeal, 1/4 cup saucepan, all types of salt, and black pepper. Add minced meat to a bowl and mix well with spices. Form 6 flat round cutlets from the resulting meat mixture.
  3. Place the patties on the oiled griddle and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, brushing the sauce over the patties for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Place the patties between the two halves of the buns (if desired, you can put cheese slices on top) and pour over the reserved sauce. You can serve vegetables as a side dish.
