Cabbage Pancakes with Cheese, Made from Rye Flour

Cabbage pancakes with cheese are a simple, quick and budget dish from the available products for every day. Making such ruddy cabbage pancakes is not difficult at all. If you use rye flour instead of wheat flour, the rich cabbage aroma and taste of such pancakes will become even more interesting.

Ingredients

  • White cabbage – 150-200 g
  • Rye flour (or wheat) – 70 g
  • Hard cheese – 40 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Fresh dill – 3-5 branches
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 4-5 tbsp

For the filling (optional):

  • Ketchup / mayonnaise / sour cream – to taste

Directions

  1. Wash cabbage, cut it into random pieces with a knife and put it in a blender bowl.
  2. Grind.
  3. Rub the cheese on a fine grater. Chop the dill.
  4. Combine cabbage, egg, cheese and dill in a bowl. Pour in 100 ml (about half a glass) of water.
  5. We mix.
  6. Sift flour into a bowl. Salt.
  7. We mix. The dough is thick enough.
  8. In a frying pan, heat about half of the vegetable oil (2-3 tablespoons). We spread the cabbage dough in a frying pan with a tablespoon, forming pancakes. Fry cabbage pancakes with cheese over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Add oil as needed.
  9. Cabbage pancakes with cheese, made from rye flour, ready. If desired, we serve pancakes to the table with your favorite sauce of your choice – ketchup, mayonnaise or sour cream.
