Cauliflower Quiche (no Dough)

Usually, an open quiche pie is made from thin dough with a filling. But you can make a vegetable quiche without dough – a casserole quiche with cauliflower is quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 600 g
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Italian herbs – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Ground nutmeg – 1/8 teaspoon
  • Butter – for greasing the mold
  • Dark sesame or flax seeds

Directions

  1. Grease a detachable mold with a diameter of 22 cm with butter, cover with parchment on top (the mold was greased so that the parchment does not fidget). Grease the parchment with plenty of oil too. Sprinkle well with sesame seeds or flax seeds. Send it to the refrigerator to keep the oil from dripping.
  2. Cut the onion into rings.
  3. Boil cauliflower in salted water. Then cool, disassemble into small inflorescences.
  4. In a large bowl, combine eggs with sour cream and spices. Mix well.
  5. Place the cauliflower in the eggs, stir gently.
  6. Pour into prepared mold, place onion rings on top. Place the cauliflower quiche in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  7. Gently remove the prepared casserole with cauliflower from the mold and serve the vegetable quiche immediately to the table.
