Ceviche with Shrimps in Citrus Marinade

This type of snack is offered by the cuisine of Ecuador. Ceviche fits in tall glass glasses or small bowls. An addition to the dish is fried bananas.

Ingredients

  • tiger shrimps 1 kg
  • oranges 6 pcs.
  • onion 3 pcs.
  • chili pepper 2 pcs.
  • lime 2 pcs.
  • lemon ½ pc.
  • cilantro 2 bunches
  • ketchup 200 g
  • vegetable oil 2 tablespoon
  • salt 3 tablespoon
  • sugar 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Pickle onions in water with vinegar and granulated sugar.
  2. Season the chopped vegetable with lemon juice.
  3. Add sugar, leave for half an hour.
  4. Peel the tiger prawns, do not remove the shells.
  5. Transfer to boiling water, let it boil again.
  6. Remove discolored seafood from the stove.
  7. Pour water into a separate container.
  8. Throw the shrimps in a colander, pour over with cold water.
  9. Remove the shells, cover them with water leftover from the shrimp, boil time – five minutes.
  10. Drain the liquid.
  11. Add orange and lime juice, vegetable oil, “Ketchup”, salt, pepper to it.
  12. Mix ready-made shrimps with sauce, onions, chopped cilantro.
  13. Put the appetizer in the cold overnight.
  14. Serve with the dressing.
