Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 75 g butter, cold
  • 4 egg (s), separate
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 750 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet pudding powder
  • Lemon juice half a fruit
  • 150 ml oil (sunflower oil)
  • 0.5 liter ½ milk

Instructions

  1. Knead the flour, baking powder, 75 g sugar, butter, 1 egg and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough (shortcrust pastry). Put it in the fridge for about half an hour.
  2. Quark mass:
  3. Mix 3 egg yolks, quark, 150 g sugar, 1 piece of vanilla sugar, 1 pudding powder, juice of 1/2 lemon, 150 ml sunflower oil and 1/2 liter milk.
  4. First put the shortcrust pastry in a greased springform pan and spread the curd mixture over it.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C fan oven or on gas mark 3 for about 45-50 minutes. Before the baking time is up, beat the egg whites until stiff and pour in the remaining 100g sugar. Now put the meringue on the hot cake and bake for another 20 minutes at 150 ° C convection or gas on 2 levels.
  6. The gold droplets form when the cake becomes cold. It is best not to spread the meringue smoothly onto the curd mass, as this will prevent so many droplets from forming.
