- 800 g chicory
- 1 lemon (s), the juice it
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 8 tablespoon heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon walnuts, chopped
- salt and pepper

- Wash the chicory thoroughly and cut into fine strips, then mix with the lemon juice and sugar. Let the strips simmer in the butter over a low heat, depending on the firmness you want. Add the cream, reduce a little and season with salt and pepper, a black pepper from the mill is clearly the best here. Mix the walnuts into the vegetables before serving.
