Ingredients

  • 500 g beef
  • 500 g broccoli
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ sunflower oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking soda
  • 1 ½ tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 5 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • sesame

Chinese Beef with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

Instructions

  1. First cut the beef into thin, bite-sized strips. This is now marinated with salt, sugar, oil, water, starch, the vinegar and finely chopped or ground ginger.
  2. Place in the refrigerator for approx. 30 - 45 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, cut the broccoli into florets and cook in boiling salted water with the baking soda for about 3 - 5 minutes. It should still be firm to the bite so that it doesn`t get mushy later.
  4. After the marinating time, fry the meat together with the garlic at a high temperature until it is through and golden brown. Now the broccoli is added. Mix everything with the oyster sauce. Finally, stir in the starch and water and pour in. This creates a delicious sauce. If necessary, add salt to taste and, if available, add sesame (for the sake of appearance).
  5. Rice goes well with this.
