Cottage Cheese Bagels with Apples

Cottage cheese rolls with apples are very tender and tasty. You and your family will definitely like it!

Cook: 50 minutes (your 30 minutes)

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese 5% fat – 200 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Flour – 250-300 g + for working with dough
  • Baking powder – 15 g (1 tablespoon with a slide)
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vanillin – on the tip of a knife

For filling:

  • Apples – 450 g (3 pcs.)
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar – 2-3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 0.5-1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, vanillin, vegetable oil, salt, baking powder. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Gradually add flour and knead the dough. The amount of flour depends on how moist the curd is.
  3. The dough should be soft and not sticky to your hands. We leave the dough to rest a little while we are busy with the filling.
  4. Peel the apples, remove the core. Cut the apples into slices and add lemon juice to them so that the apples do not darken.
  5. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
    Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll it out one by one in a circle, adding additional flour. The thickness of the dough is about 0.5 cm.
    Cut the circle into 8 parts-sectors. In the middle of each sector, we make several longitudinal cuts.
  6. Put 2 apple slices on the wide edge of each sector, sprinkle them a little with cinnamon and a small amount of powdered sugar.
  7. We wrap each piece of filled dough, forming a bagel.
  8. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, lay out the bagels and send them to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  9. We take out the bagels with apples from the oven and let cool a little.
  10. Sprinkle the cottage cheese bagels with apples with the remaining powdered sugar and serve.
