Crimean Chebureki, Crispy and Juicy

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 500 g
  • Water – 250 ml
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml
  • Salt – 1 pinch

For the filling:

  • Minced beef – 380 g
  • Fresh herbs – 50 g
  • Water – 100 ml
  • Spices – to taste
  • Salt – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 400 ml (for frying)

How to cook Crimean chebureki:

Directions

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the flour.
  2. Add a pinch of salt to the water. Pour the water with salt into the flour and mix the dough with a spoon. Then knead it with your hands for 7-10 minutes. The dough should be stiff but a little softer than for pelmeni. Leave it for 30 minutes.
  3. Chop the herbs coarsely.
  4. Add the herbs, ground coriander, pepper, salt, and beef broth (or warm boiled water) to the minced meat. Mix everything.
  5. Form the dough into a sausage after 30 minutes and cut it into 7 pieces. Knead each piece for 2 minutes and leave them for another 15 minutes. Without adding the flour, roll out the dough into a sheet. Spread the filling evenly over 7 chebureki placing it only on half of the sheet.
  6. Cover the filling with the second half and stick the edges with a fork.
  7. Place the chebureki on a hot frying pan and fry them for a couple of minutes on each side over medium heat.
  8. After frying them on both sides, put the chebureki on a paper towel to remove any remaining fat.

Juicy and crispy Crimean chebureki are done.
