Ingredients

  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 400 g chicken breast fillet (s)
  • 2 cup rice
  • 1 can corn, medium-sized
  • 1 large red pepper (s)
  • 1 small Can (s) peas
  • 2 tablespoon Vegeta spice mix (Croatian spice, alternatively instant vegetable broth)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • oil

Instructions

  1. It is best to prepare everything: cut the onion into small cubes, chop the meat, cut the bell pepper into cubes. Drain the corn and peas and portion the rice.
  2. Fry the onion cubes in a little oil. Add the meat and fry until cooked through. Then add the rice, stir briefly and pour water over it; The following applies here: if you have 2 cups of rice, add 4 cups of water; always double the amount! It is best to add the Vegeta or the vegetable stock and let it simmer slowly. Stir every now and then. After about 10 minutes, add the tomato paste and paprika powder to taste, stir and let simmer. If necessary, add a little water again and again if the rice has already absorbed everything but is not yet done. Try the rice every now and then to see if it is almost done and then season to taste. Shortly before the end, add the corn, the peas and the pepper pieces, season everything again and serve.
