Croutons with Potatoes, Carrots and Onions

Prepare these delicious and healthy croutons from the simplest foods found in every home and serve them for breakfast. These croutons with potatoes, carrots, and onions will help you start the day deliciously!

Ingredients

  • Baguette – 1 pc. (about 200 g)
  • Potatoes – 100 g
  • Carrots – 50 g
  • Onions – 40 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Peel carrots and onions, rinse, and grate on a fine grater.
  2. Peel the potatoes, rinse and grate on a fine grater. Squeeze out the potato juice. Send potatoes to carrots with onions, stir.
  3. Add the egg. salt and pepper.
  4. Cut the baguette into slices 1.5-2 centimeters thick.
  5. Apply a vegetable mixture to each piece of baguette.
  6. Do not try to make a thick layer of vegetables, as this can cause them to fall off the baguette when frying.
  7. Pour oil into the pan and heat it well. Place the greased side of the baguette in the butter and press down a little. Fry over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Flip the potato, carrot, and onion baguette slices and cook for another 2 minutes.
  9. Transfer the croutons with potatoes, carrots, and onions to a plate and serve immediately.
