Curd Dough Rolls with Apple Filling

Simple and delicious pastries – cottage cheese rolls with apple filling. According to this recipe, curd dough is kneaded easily and quickly, it turns out soft and tender. Ruddy pastries with apples and cinnamon will fill the house with a magnificent aroma and magical mood!

Ingredients

For curd dough:

  • Cottage cheese – 130 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • Sugar – 80 g
  • Wheat flour – 240 g
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Vanillin (optional) – 1 pinch or 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

For filling:

  • Apples – 3 pcs. (400 g)
  • Ground cinnamon – 1-2 pinches
  • Poppy (or cinnamon / sugar / crushed nuts) – 1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Powdered sugar (optional) – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare foods on the list. Apples are best used in hard, sweet and sour varieties. Poppy seeds for sprinkling these pastries can be replaced with cinnamon, sugar or chopped nuts.
  2. Break the eggs into a deep bowl. Approximately 1-2 tablespoon. set aside the tablespoons of egg white – you will need it to grease the dough before baking.
    Add cottage cheese, vegetable oil, sugar and baking powder to the eggs. Stir. (Vanillin or vanilla sugar can be added for flavor if desired.)
  3. Sifting flour through a sieve, add it to a bowl in portions, stirring the mass.
  4. Knead the dough. It should gather well into a ball, keep its shape and not stick to your hands.
    The oven can already be turned on to warm up to a temperature of 180 degrees.
  5. Peel the apples, remove the seed pods. Cut the apples into slices.
    Sprinkle cinnamon on the apples.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Lightly dust the table with flour and roll one piece of dough into a circle about 3-4 mm thick.
  7. Cut the dough circle into 8 equal triangle segments. On each of them make two longitudinal cuts (see photo).
  8. Place the filling on the wide edge of the triangle – 1-2 apple slices with cinnamon.
  9. Cover with the narrow end of the triangle so that the incisions are over the apple.
  10. Roll the narrow end of the dough under the apple.
  11. Form the rest of the apple curd dough rolls in the same way.
  12. Cover the baking sheet with parchment. Gently transfer the blanks to a baking sheet and brush with the set egg white. Sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  13. Bake the curd rolls in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, about 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. While the first batch is baking, form the second. This time I made rolls by cutting the circle into 12 segments.
  15. Cool the baked rolls slightly and remove from the baking sheet.
  16. Curd dough rolls with apple filling are ready.
  17. When baked goods have cooled down completely, sprinkle with icing sugar.
    Soft curd dough and delicate apple filling are the perfect addition to a cup of tea or coffee.
