Custard Dessert with Peanuts and Chocolate

This gorgeous custard dessert with peanuts and chocolate is prepared using fairly simple technology, and the result is sure to delight and impress! The dessert turns out to be very tender and soft. The creamy base pairs well with nut crumbs and chocolate.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Milk with fat content 2.6% – 1 l
  • Sugar – 170 g
  • Flour – 120 g (1 glass of 200 ml)
  • Corn starch – 25 g
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted peanuts – 120 g
  • Black chocolate – 70 g

Directions

  1. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, combine and stir flour, starch, sugar, vanilla sugar.
  2. While constantly stirring the mixture, pour in the milk in parts. By adding milk to the dry mixture, and not vice versa, you can eliminate the formation of lumps. You should get a homogeneous liquid mass.
  3. Place a saucepan over medium heat and start heating the mixture, stirring constantly with a whisk. The fire can be made a little larger, but then the mixing intensity should also become stronger. The mass should not stick to the bottom and no lumps should form. After 10 minutes the mass will thicken sharply. Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the butter and beat the cream again.
  4. Divide the resulting thick mass into cups, tapering towards the bottom. This makes 4 full 250 ml cups. Cover the cups with cling film, cool, and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
  5. Peel the roasted peanuts and chop finely with a knife.
  6. Carefully remove the well-chilled dessert from the cups, cut it across into two halves equal in height, and roll the sides in nut crumbs.
  7. Melt the chocolate in a steam bath and pour over each portion of the dessert. Garnish with leftover chopped nuts.
