Czech Garlic Soup

Czech garlic soup is made from a small number of ingredients, but it turns out to be very tasty, satisfying, and aromatic.
Ingredients
- Meat (pork) – 400 g
- Water – 1.5 l
- Potatoes – 3 pcs.
- Bulb onions – 1 pc.
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Bay leaf – 1 pc.
- Rye bread – 1-2 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Vegetable oil – for frying
- Fresh parsley – 6-7 branches
Directions
- Prepare the ingredients for the soup.
- Wash the meat, place in a saucepan, pour in 1.5 liters of cold water, and put on fire. When the water boils, remove all the foam, add the bay leaf and cook the meat until tender over low heat under a lid, preventing the broth from boiling actively.
- Peel and dice the potatoes.
- Peel and dice the onion, peel the garlic.
- Prepare croutons for serving soup. Cut the bread into small pieces, place in a dry skillet and fry for 4-5 minutes.
- Fry the onions until light golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pass the garlic through a press and fry together with the onion (no more than 1 minute) until a characteristic bright garlic smell appears.
- Break the egg into a bowl and shake with a fork.
- Put the potatoes in a saucepan.
- Pour over the strained broth. Cut the meat into pieces and put it in a saucepan too. Cook the soup until the potatoes are ready, season with salt. You can add spices to your liking.
- Put the fried onion and garlic in the soup.
- Pour in the beaten egg in a thin stream. The egg will immediately curl up into fine fibers. Add finely chopped parsley, bring to a boil and remove from heat.
- Thick and rich Czech garlic soup is ready. Serve with croutons. Enjoy your meal.
