Donuts from Yeast-Free Dough with Kefir

I advise you to make delicious donuts without yeast. You will spend a minimum of time kneading yeast-free donut dough, and you will definitely be satisfied with the result.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 250 g
  • Kefir – 100 ml
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 40-60 ml

Directions

  1. Prepare all required ingredients. The butter should be soft, so you need to take it out of the refrigerator in advance and leave it on the table to soften.
  2. Pour sugar into a deep bowl, add softened butter, and beat in an egg.
  3. Mix the mixture well with a whisk. Then pour in kefir.
  4. Stir again. Add flour.
  5. Then add baking powder.
  6. Knead the dough. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave for 5 minutes.
  7. Put the dough on a silicone mat, roll it out with a rolling pin. The thickness of the layer should be 1 centimeter.
  8. Squeeze circles out of the dough with a glass. Use a plastic bottle stopper to make a hole in the middle of the dough circles.
  9. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry donuts made of yeast-free dough over medium heat on both sides. In the time it will take 1-2 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle the finished yeast-free donuts with icing sugar.
