Ingredients
- 250 g sultanas
- 125 g suar (rock candy)
- 1 liter schnapps (Ostfr. Brandy)

- Wash the raisins with warm water, drain and place in a terrine with the brandy.
- You dissolve the rock candy in very little water and add it when it is cold, stir everything very well and close the terrine with the lid.
- After 3 days, when the raisins are soaked, you can serve the bean soup. (Better only after 1 week !!)
- In East Friesland there is this drink on the occasion of the birth of a child Kinnertön.
- It is served in Branntwienkopkes. These are teacups without a handle, with a small teaspoon. If you don`t have cups, this wonderfully tasty drink is served in glasses with spoons.
- Also tastes good topped up with sparkling wine.
- You should also bake an East Frisian cake, where this bean soup is also needed.
