  • 2 tablespoon oil, (sunflower oil)
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pinch (s) cayenne pepper
  • 500 ml water
  • 250 g tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Chop the onions and garlic and sauté in the oil. Add all the spices and roast lightly. Then add flour and tomato paste and roast a little more. Pour in the water and let the sauce simmer gently for 20 minutes.
  2. Can be used for gratinating enchiladas, taco fillings, etc. The spices can be varied according to personal taste.
