Egg, Apple and Onion Appetizer with Herring

When you want to have a snack, and there is not a very large selection of products in the refrigerator, a simple egg snack will help out. The appetizer is prepared in a matter of minutes and turns out to be very tender and tasty. If you also add a few pieces of herring and put everything on a slice of brown bread, you will get such an appetizing sandwich that at least serve it on a festive table! Try it!

Ingredients
- Eggs – 3 pcs.
- Salted herring (fillet) – 200-300 g
- Medium apple – 1 pc.
- Small onions – 1 pc.
- Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp (or to taste)
- Black bread – 3-4 slices
- Salt to taste
- Green onions – optional
Directions
- Prepare the ingredients for your snack.
- Pour cold water over eggs, bring water to a boil and cook eggs for 8 minutes. Then place the eggs in a container of cold water and leave for about 10 minutes, until they are completely cooled. The water needs to be changed 1-2 times to keep it cold
- Cut a small head of onion into quarters and then cut each quarter into thin strips.
- Peel the chilled boiled eggs and cut into strips.
- Peel and seed the apple and cut into strips or small cubes.
- Combine eggs, apple and onion, add mayonnaise to taste.
- Mix everything thoroughly. Try the appetizer and add salt to taste.
- An appetizer of eggs, apples and onions is ready! Place a serving of snack on a slice of brown bread, add a few slices of herring.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions on top, if desired.
