- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sunflower oil or canola oil
- 2 cup milk
- 2 cup flour
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 shot rum
- 1 point poppy seed bake
- 1 pack chocolate icing for brushing

- Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar until frothy. Add oil, milk, rum and vanilla sugar and stir vigorously. Now add flour and baking powder and stir vigorously. Finally stir in the poppy seed mixture and carefully fold in the egg whites. Put the dough (it is quite runny) on a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes. Beware: it goes pretty fast!
- When the cake has cooled down (if it has to go particularly quickly, I put the cake on ice packs - then it will be cold in 10 minutes), brush with melted chocolate icing.
- Variation: Brush with Nutella and dust with cocoa powder.
