Ingredients
- 250 g flour (rye flour type 1150)
- 250 g wheat flour (type 550)
- 1 cube yeast
- 325 ml water, lukewarm
- 1 pinch (s) sugar
- 100 g onion (s) (fried onions, dried)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon oil

- Mix the two flours and make a well in the middle. Crumble in the yeast and mix with 5 tablespoons of water, sugar and a little flour from the edge. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
- Then knead with the remaining ingredients and let rise again for about 30 minutes until the volume has increased significantly. Knead the dough well and shape it into an oval loaf. Cover and let rise on a greased baking sheet for another 20-30 minutes.
- Now brush the surface with water, cut diagonally several times and bake in the preheated oven on the lowest rack for 60 - 65 minutes. After 15 minutes, reduce the heat accordingly.
