Fish, Fried in Nut Breading

Fans of fried fish will be interested in the recipe for hazelnut-breaded hake. Stir the fish fillet pieces with mayonnaise, breaded in flour, dip in the egg-milk mixture, roll in nuts with breadcrumbs, and fry. The nutty note in the crispy crust perfectly complements the hake flavor.

Cook: 1 hour 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Sea fish (hake) – 1 kg
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Walnuts – 150 g
  • Mayonnaise – 100 g
  • Bread crumbs – 50 g
  • Flour – 65 g
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Ground lemon pepper – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. We clean the fish, wash and separate the fillet from the bones. Cut the fish fillet into pieces. (I had a small fish, so I cut each fillet into 3-4 pieces.)
  2. Salt the fish pieces, add black pepper and lemon.
  3. Add mayonnaise to the fish. Mix the fish with mayonnaise and leave for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Grind the nuts into sufficiently small crumbs, for example, with a knife or in a blender.
  5. Mix nuts with bread crumbs.
  6. Beat eggs with milk.
  7. Breaded each piece of fish fillet in flour.
  8. Then we dip it in the egg-milk mixture.
  9. Finish with breading in nuts with breadcrumbs.
  10. Heat 2 tablespoon in a frying pan. tablespoons of vegetable oil and spread the fish. Reduce heat and fry the fish fillet on each side for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown. Add vegetable oil if necessary.
  11. Put the finished fish on paper towels to remove excess fat.
