Ingredients

  • 1 cube meat stock
  • 0.33 cl beer
  • 1 tablespoon potato flour
  • 2 slices cooked ham
  • 100 ml milk
  • Sausage, linguiça as required
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 3 slices toast
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • some piri-piri
  • 2 slices cheese
  • 2 sausages
  • 1 beef steak (s), cut lengthways and seared briefly
  • 1 glass port wine

Instructions

  1. Mix the meat stock cubes, beer, flour, milk, bay leaves, margarine and port wine with tomato paste, mix the piri-piri with the blender. Bring to the boil and allow to thicken. Stir so that it doesn`t burn.
  2. Top the toast with the steak, another slice of toast, liven it up with the ham and sausage, finally a slice of toast, then the cheese. Bake in the oven until the cheese begins to melt. Sieve the sauce and pour it onto the Francesinha.
  3. Batatas fritas and olives are typically served with this.
