French Meat (Pork with Onions and Cheese)

A simple version of meat in French is pork baked with onions, under a brown cheese crust.

Ingredients

  • Pork – 500 g
  • Large onions – 3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 200-250 g
  • Vegetable oil
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper

Directions

  1. Cut the pork fillet into layers (thickness – about 0.7 cm). We beat off all the pieces well with a kitchen hammer
  2. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and place the pork on the bottom. Sprinkle with spices.
  3. Spread mayonnaise over the meat (the most convenient way to do this is with a culinary brush).
  4. Cut the onion into half rings.
  5. Place the onion on top of the pork.
  6. Sprinkle everything with grated cheese on a coarse grater.
  7. We send pork with onions and cheese to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 50 minutes.
  8. According to our simplified recipe, the meat dish turns out to be very juicy and in no way inferior in taste to the classic version of French meat.  Enjoy your meal!
