French Toast (Master Class)

Today I want to offer you four options for making French toasts at once: two sweet and two savory, and the principle is the same for everyone. It will be tasty, satisfying, appetizing and original!

Servings: 4-8

Ingredients

  • Toaster bread – 16 pieces
  • Eggs – 8-10 Pieces
  • Milk – 200 Milliliters
  • Hard cheese – 50 grams
  • Ham – 2-4 Slices
  • Butter – 120 Grams
  • Mozzarella – 50 Grams
  • Parsley Greens – 1/4 Bunch
  • Chocolate – 100 Grams
  • Marshmallows – 20 Grams
  • Shortbread cookies – 2 pieces
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 Teaspoon
  • Apples – 2 Pieces
  • Ground cinnamon – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt, pepper – To taste
  • Sugar – 2 Tbsp. spoons

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. In the photo, as you can see, not all, but only the main ones, since everything simply did not fit into the frame 🙂
  2. To begin with, beat the eggs with milk. Divide this mass into 2 equal parts. Add vanilla essence to one egg part and mix, and to the second – salt and pepper, also mix.
  3. Let’s start with toast with ham and cheese. Place a slice (or two) of ham on two slices of bread.
  4. Add a few thin slices of hard cheese.
  5. Top with a slice of bread.
  6. Dip each toast in the egg mixture (to which salt and pepper were added).
  7. Melt a small piece of butter in a skillet, then add the toast and cook over medium heat for a few minutes, until the egg grabs and becomes delicious golden brown. Then turn the toast over and toast on the other side.
  8. The ham and cheese cakes are ready!
  9. Now it’s the turn of the sweet toast. Put half a chocolate bar on a slice of bread, sprinkle marshmallows on top. If the marshmallows are large, cut them into 2 or 4 pieces.
  10. Top with a second slice of bread as you did for the first.
  11. Dip the toast in the vanilla essence mixture and then in the crushed biscuits. Toast the toast in butter in the same way as the first toast.
  12. In a frying pan, the chocolate in toast will melt, mix with melted marshmallows and saturate the bread. It will turn out incredibly tasty!
  13. The next toast tastes like an American pie, with a fragrant apple-cinnamon filling and crisp crust. Let’s start with the filling: cut the apples into small cubes.
  14. Melt a cube of butter in a skillet, add apples, sugar and cinnamon. Cook, stirring frequently.
  15. Put the finished apple filling on the bread slices. Top with a second slice. Dip the toast in the vanilla essence and sauté in butter just like the previous toast.
  16. Sprinkle the finished toast with apples with powdered sugar and garnish with a sprig of mint.
  17. And the last option is toast with mozzarella and herbs. Everything is simple here: cut the mozzarella into small pieces and place on slices of bread. Sprinkle with chopped parsley on top (dill, green onions or basil can be used if desired).
  18. Top with slices of bread and dip in the egg mixture, seasoned with salt and pepper. Fry toast in butter until golden brown.
  19. The toasts turned out crispy on top, and incredibly tender and juicy in the middle.
  20. That’s all. All the toasts are ready, we got two versions of savory toasts.
  21. And two options for sweet toast. No one will be hungry, that’s for sure!
