Fried Ham and Cheese Sandwich
by Editorial Staff
A regular ham and cheese sandwich can be made extraordinarily delicious if fried!
Cook: 30 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
Directions
- Peel the onion and cut it into cubes.
- Put the onion in a bowl, add vinegar, sugar. Leave the onion to marinate for 5-7 minutes.
- Cut the ham into cubes.
- Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
- Mix cheese and ham.
- Brush slices of toast bread with melted butter on one side.
- Spread the ham and cheese mixture onto two slices of bread.
- Put the pickled onion on top of the ham and cheese, squeezing the liquid out of it.
- Cover the filling with the second piece of toast bread. You can cut the crusts from the bread for beauty (I did not do that).
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl.
- Add salt and ground black pepper to the eggs. Whisk everything again.
- Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture for 20-30 seconds, press down a little, then turn over to the other side and do the same.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the sandwich on one side for 2 minutes.
- Turn the sandwich over and fry for another 2 minutes. Also, fry the second sandwich.
- Put the finished fried sandwiches with ham, cheese, and onions on a paper towel, blot off excess oil.
- Cut the sandwiches into triangles.
Enjoy your meal!
