Fried Rice for Garnish

Fried rice with chicken or fish is good for garnish. And in Lent, this is a gorgeous aromatic independent dish. The rice is crumbly, grain to grain.

Cook: 50 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Parboiled rice – 2 cups
  • Water – 4 glasses
  • Salt – 2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 6 tbsp
  • Spices to taste

Directions

  1. Pour vegetable oil into a cauldron, heat well.
  2. Add parboiled rice, reduce heat to medium and fry rice, stirring occasionally. At first it will turn white and no longer transparent.
  3. Then the rice will turn golden. Add spices (according to your taste, you can add 1 teaspoon of turmeric, allspice, cinnamon (on the tip of a knife), nutmeg (on the tip of a knife), white pepper, cumin, sweet paprika, hot paprika, a mixture of peppers).
  4. Season with salt and cover with cold water. (The proportions of water and rice should be exactly maintained). Let the rice boil without a lid until almost all the water has been absorbed.
  5. Then reduce the heat to the lowest, cover and cook the fried rice over the heat for 20 minutes. Then let the rice stand for another 10 minutes, covered.
  6. Fried rice for garnish is ready.
