Fried Swordfish with Spicy Sauce

Swordfish is grilled and served with a spicy sauce.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Swordfish, skinless steak 4-5 cm thick – 2 pcs. (450 g each)
  • Olive oil

    For the sauce:

  • Fresh cilantro, leaves – 1 glass
  • Fresh mint, leaves – 0.5 cups
  • Extra virgin olive oil – 0.5 cups
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
  • Lemon zest – 1 tbsp
  • Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Ground coriander – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground cayenne pepper – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Turn on the grill to preheat to a high temperature. Grease the grill grate with vegetable oil.
  2. Prepare the sauce. Put all the ingredients for the sauce into the bowl of a kitchen processor and grind until smooth.
  3. Cut each steak in half. Brush the fish on all sides with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the fillets on the grill, cook, uncovered, for 4-5 minutes, until characteristic charred stripes appear. Reduce heat to medium. Turn fillet at an angle of about 90 degrees, fry for another 4-5 minutes. Turn the fillet over to the other side, fry under a closed lid for 5-7 minutes (the temperature on the meat thermo should rise to 70 degrees). Serve the fish with sauce.
