German Mannik

Why German? German pastries are characterized by the presence of ingredients such as cinnamon, nuts, cloves, ginger, apples, raisins, and nutmeg in the recipe. Therefore, I diluted our traditional manna with some of these ingredients, which is why the manna acquired a very pronounced spicy taste. I hope you will like it!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 1 glass
  • Sugar – 1 glass
  • Semolina – 1 glass
  • Milk – 1 glass
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Soda – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Apple cider vinegar for extinguishing soda – 1 tablespoon.
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa – 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground ginger – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Raisins (you can take any dried fruits or nuts) – 60 g

Directions

  1. Soak the raisins in cold water.
  2. Melt butter in a bowl, add semolina and warm milk to it. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar and egg until firm foam.
  4. Mix the butter and egg mixture. Redeem the soda.
  5. Add our “German” spices, stir.
  6. Sift flour into the dough and stir well. Add dried raisins.
  7. Grease the mold with butter and pour the dough into it. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
