Ingredients

  • 200 g chocolate, dark (from 70%)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 40 g iner, candied
  • 1 tablespoon water, hot

Ginger Chocolate Mousse

Instructions

  1. First separate the eggs and set the yolks aside. Finely grate the ginger.
  2. Beat the egg white and the cream until stiff.
  3. Melt the chocolate together with the butter in a double boiler over medium heat.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the egg yolks together with a tablespoon of hot water to a cream. Then stir in the sugar and ginger.
  5. Now fold in the melted butter and chocolate mixture. Then fold in the egg whites and cream with a whisk.
  6. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for a good 2 hours.
  7. Serves well as a dumpling with small pieces of candied ginger!
